Abstract
A device for controlling a speed of a door includes a detecting unit that detects a position of the door, and a control unit that controls the speed of the door in such a manner that an acceleration of the door becomes substantially zero at a point that is calculated based on the position. Thus, a target maximum speed of the door is adjusted depending on the remaining moving distance.

A device for controlling a speed of movement of the door, comprising:
- a detecting unit configured to detect a present position of the door;
- and
- a control unit configured to control the speed of the door in such a manner that an acceleration of the door becomes substantially zero at a point that is calculated based on the present position.
A method of controlling a speed of movement of the door, comprising:
- detecting a present position of the door;
- and
- controlling the speed of the door in such a manner that an acceleration of the door becomes substantially zero at a point that is calculated based on the present position.
