Abstract
A method for controlling display of graphical information in a display window is presented. A scroll region, i.e. a scroll bar, is provided with a “memory” that indicates to the user where to return after scrolling away from a current position within, e.g., a large document. This is advantageous in that it relieves the user from having to be very attentive to the scrolling content of the window, which means that the scrolling can be performed more quickly when compared to prior art solutions.

- receiving a first signal, said first signal being indicative of a user desiring to view a second subset of said graphical information,
- displaying said second subset of said graphical information in said window,
- displaying, within said scroll region, a second position indicator at a second position that is associated with a second position of said second subset of graphical information within said graphical information.
A mobile telephone comprising means for controlling display of graphical information in a window displayed on a display unit of said mobile telephone, where a first subset of said graphical information is displayed in said window and where a scroll region is displayed on said display unit of said mobile telephone, within which scroll region a first position indicator is displayed at a first position that is associated with a first position of said first subset of graphical information within said graphical information, the mobile telephone comprising means for:
- receiving a first signal, said first signal being indicative of a user desiring to view a second subset of said graphical information,
- displaying said second subset of said graphical information in said window,
- displaying, within said scroll region, a second position indicator at a second position that is associated with a second position of said second subset of graphical information within said graphical information.
