System and method for reusing project engineering data

A system for managing and/or providing elements or technological objects, comprising:

• a first component for the creation of at least one element by a user of the system with the at least one element being provided as a template for generating an image or a plurality of images of the element;
• a library for storing the created elements;
• and
• a second component for generating at least one image of a stored element with the at least one stored element being provided for the development of an automation solution.

A method for managing and/or providing elements or technological objects, comprising:

• creating at least one element by a user of the system with the at least one element serving as a template for generating an embodiment as an image or a plurality of embodiments as images of the element,
• storing the created elements in a library;
• and
• generating at least one embodiment of a stored element with the at least one embodiment being used in the development of a solution or an automation solution.
