Abstract
A broker determines that a publication received from a publisher is transmitted to at least one subscriber. When a publication is received from a publisher, it is determined whether there are any subscribers registered as interested in the received publication. The received publication is retained in storage at least until the publication is delivered successfully to a subscriber in response to determining that there are no registered subscribers for the received publication.

A method for a broker to assure that a publication received from a publisher is transmitted to at least one subscriber, the method comprising:
- receiving a publication from a publisher;
- and
- retaining the publication in storage at least until the publication is delivered successfully to a subscriber in response to determining that there are no registered subscribers for the received publication.
An apparatus for a broker to assure that a publication received from a publisher, is transmitted to at least one subscriber, the apparatus comprising:
- means for receiving a publication from a publisher;
- and
- means for retaining the publication in storage at least until the publication is delivered successfully to a subscriber in response to determining that there are no registered subscribers for the received publication.
A computer program product for a broker to assure that a publication received from a publisher is transmitted to at least one subscriber, said computer program product comprising:
- a computer usable medium having computer useable program code embodied therewith, the computer useable program code comprising:
- computer usable program code configured to receive a publication from a publisher;
- and
- computer usable program code configured to retain the publication in storage at least until the publication is delivered successfully to a subscriber in response to determining that there are no registered subscribers for the received publication
