Abstract
A process for achieving décor on surface elements (1) which comprises a decorative upper layer (2) and a supporting core (5). A selected main décor is entered via a terminal, the selected décor emanating from the group consisting of; an archetype digitised via digital camera or scanner and a digitised décor from a database. The dimensions of the surface to be covered by surface elements (1) and the desired dimension of the décor is entered into the terminal. Support programs is then used for calculating the segmentation of the main décor to cover more than one surface element. The result of the selections and calculations is visualised via the terminal.

A surface having a decor divided into a plurality of decor segments, said surface comprising:
- a plurality of surface elements, each of the plurality of surface elements comprising:
- a decorative upper layer having one of said plurality of decor segments, having a pattern reaching an edge of the decor segment,
- a supporting core, and
- edges comprising at least one of a tongue and a groove,
- wherein the pattern of the decor segments continue from one surface element to an adjacent surface element to form the decor.
A process for achieving decor on a surface, the surface having desired dimensions and comprising a plurality of surface elements, the surface elements comprising a decorative upper layer, a supporting core, and edges suited for joining the edges comprising at least one of a tongue and a groove, the process comprising:
- i) selecting a main decor via a terminal, the selected decor emanating from a group consisting of an archetype digitized via digital camera or scanner and a digitized decor from a database;
- ii) entering dimensions of the surface to be covered by surface elements (1) and the desired dimension of the decór into the terminal and using support programs for calculating segmentation of the decór to cover more than one surface element and that,
- iii) displaying the result of the selections and calculations via the terminal.
A process for achieving decór on a surface, the surface having desired dimensions and comprising a plurality of surface elements, the surface elements comprising a decorative upper layer, a supporting core, and edges suited for joining, the process comprising:
- i) selecting a main decor via a terminal, the selected decor emanating from a group consisting of an archetype digitized via digital camera or scanner and a digitized decor from a database;
- ii) entering dimensions of the surface to be covered by surface elements (1) and the desired dimension of the decór into the terminal and using support programs for calculating segmentation of the decór to cover more than one surface element,
- iii) displaying the result of the selections and calculations via the terminal, and
- iv) cutting the edges.
A process for forming surface elements having a decór on a surface having desired dimensions, the surface elements comprising a decorative upper surface, and a supporting core the process comprising;
- i) selecting a main decor via a terminal, the selected decor emanating from a group consisting of an archetype digitised via digital camera or scanner and a digitised decor from a database;
- ii) entering dimensions of the surface to be covered by surface elements (1) and the desired dimension of the decór into the terminal and using support programs for calculating segmentation of the decór to cover more than one surface element and that;
- iii) printing the decór on the decorative upper surface.
