Abstract
A method and system for recording changes to programmable parameters in an implantable pulse generator. An executable program is stored in an implantable pulse generator. A parameter log is maintained in the implantable pulse generator, where the parameter log is used to record changes to the state of one or more programmable parameters of the executable program. When a change is detected in the state, from a first state to a second state, of the one or more programmable parameters the first state of the one or more programmable parameters changed to the second state are recorded in the parameter log. The parameter log is retrievable to allow for analysis of when and how changes took place to the executable program.
Claims16
A method for logging in an implant, comprising:
- storing, in an implant, an executable program and one or more programmable parameters having a first state, the programmable parameter to be used by the executable program to deliver a therapy;
- detecting a change in the first state of the programmable parameter to a second state;
- and
- storing in the parameter log the first state of the programmable parameter only after the programmable parameter is changed to the second state, wherein the parameter log includes a list of programmable parameter prior to a change in state such that storing occurs when a change in state occurs.
The method of claim 2, wherein storing includes not storing parameter values at a first time of zero and recording a parameter change at a second time of t+zero.
A method for logging in an implant for providing electrical pulse therapy, comprising:
- storing, in an implant, an executable program and one or more programmable parameters having a first state, the programmable parameters to be used by the executable program to deliver a therapy;
- analyzing, in a parameter analysis circuit, the programmable parameters to detect a change in the programmable parameters;
- and
- when the parameter analysis circuit detects a change, instructing a microprocessor to store in the parameter log a state of the changed programmable parameter prior to its change in the parameter log in a memory circuit.
