Abstract
This invention pertains to polyalkylene glycol based polymers with enhanced high temperature stability. More particularly, the invention pertains to compositions with enhanced high temperature stability comprising a polyalkylene glycol based polymer and an anionic surfactant.
Claims20
A method of increasing the cloud point temperature of a polyalkylene glycol polymer comprising:
- a. providing a polyalkylene glycol polymer having a cloud point temperature;
- b. providing an anionic surfactant, in an amount effective to increase the cloud point temperature of the polyalkylene glycol polymer by at least about 5° F.;
- and
- c. combining the polyalkylene glycol polymer and the anionic surfactant to form a composition.

A lubricant composition comprising:
- a) a lubricant;
- b) a polyalkylene glycol polymer, and
- c) an anionic surfactant, in an amount effective to increase the cloud point temperature of the polyalkylene glycol polymer by at least about 5° F.
