A drive chain, especially camshaft/camshaft drive for a motor vehicle engine, comprising at least two chain wheels (1, 3) having gear rims (1.1, 3.1), one drive chain (5), the gear rims (1.1, 3.1) being arranged to be laterally offset to each other in the axial direction, the drive chain (5) being a multiple chain, each of the offset gear rims (1.1, 3.1) of the chain wheels (1, 3) have an own track of the multiple chain (5) associated there with owing to the lateral displacement, the tip diameters (dK1) of the offset gear rims of the chain wheels (1, 3) being overlapping, and at least one support wheel (8, 9) is provided laterally next to a gear rim (1.1, 3.1) of an associated chain wheel (1, 3) which engages into the empty track of the multiple chain (5) not being engaged with the gear rim (1.1, 1.3) of the associated chain wheel (1, 3) and driven together with the associated chain wheel (1, 3).
