Abstract
The invention concerns a power production unit (10) onboard a motor vehicle, comprising a fuel cell (12) including at least one orifice for evacuating off-gases (28) consisting in particular of air and water vapour, and which are discharged into a discharge pipe (30, 36) wherein is provided a condenser (28) which liquefies the water vapour, and wherein a compressor (32) is interposed upstream of the condenser (38), liquid water being diverted from the discharge pipe (36) to a liquid water circuit (62). The invention is characterized in that the compressor (32) compresses the off-gases so that the dew point of the water vapour is higher than the temperature of the condenser (38).

1-6. (canceled)
An electricity-generating installation on board a motor vehicle, comprising:
- a fuel-cell stack provided with at least one orifice for evacuation of residual gases, which are composed mainly of air and water vapor and which are discharged into an evacuation conduit in which there is disposed a condenser that liquefies the water vapor;
- a compressor interposed upstream from the condenser, the liquid water being diverted from the evacuation conduit to a liquid water circuit,
- wherein the compressor compresses the residual gases such that a dew point temperature of the water vapor is higher than a temperature of the condenser.
A method for electricity generation on board a motor vehicle, equipped with a fuel-cell stack, the method comprising:
- liquefying water vapor by a condenser disposed in an evacuation conduit into which residual gases are discharged via at least one orifice for evacuation of the residual gases, the residual gases being composed mainly of air and water vapor;
- diverting the liquid water from the evacuation conduit to a liquid water circuit;
- and
- compressing the residual gases by the compressor such that a dew point temperature of the water vapor is higher than a temperature of the condenser.
