Abstract
An optically clear pressure sensitive adhesive film includes a pressure sensitive adhesive formed by polymerizing a (C1-C8)alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer, and a plurality of surface modified nanoparticles dispersed in the pressure sensitive adhesive. Methods of forming optically clear pressure sensitive adhesive films are also disclosed.
Claims20
A pressure sensitive adhesive film comprising:
- a pressure sensitive adhesive formed by polymerizing a (C1-C8)alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer;
- and
- a plurality of surface modified nanoparticles dispersed in the pressure sensitive adhesive, wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive film is optically clear.
A pressure sensitive adhesive article comprising:
- a substrate;
- a pressure sensitive adhesive film formed by polymerizing a (C1-C8)alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer, disposed on the substrate;
- and
- a plurality of surface modified nanoparticles disposed in the pressure sensitive adhesive, wherein the pressure sensitive adhesive film is optically clear.
1 more element
A method of forming a pressure sensitive adhesive film comprising the steps of:
- polymerizing a (C1-C8)alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer to form a pressure sensitive adhesive composition;
- and
- combining the pressure sensitive adhesive composition with a plurality of surface modified nanoparticles and to form an optically clear pressure sensitive adhesive film.
