Abstract
The present invention provides a method for lowering intraocular pressure and providing neuroprotection to a patient in need thereof by administering a therapeutically effective amount of at least one non-nucleotide or non-protein agent that inhibits expression and/or signaling of FPR.
Claims13
A method for lowering intraocular pressure and providing neuroprotection to a patient in need thereof, said method comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising at least one non-nucleotide or non-protein agent that inhibits expression, signaling or biological functions of formylpeptide receptor (FPR), and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
A method for lowering intraocular pressure in a patient in need thereof, said method comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a composition comprising at least one non-nucleotide or non-protein agent that inhibits expression, signaling, or biological functions of connective tissue growth factor (FPR), and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
A method for preventing the visual field loss associated with Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (POAG), said method comprising administering to a patient in need thereof a composition comprising a non-nucleotide or non-protein agent that modulates the expression of FPR such that intraocular pressure is controlled and protection is provided to retinal ganglion cells or to the optic nerve head.
A composition for lowering intraocular pressure and providing neuroprotection in a patient in need thereof, said composition comprising at least one agent that inhibits the expression, signaling, or biological functions of FPR and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
