A method for treating a sensitized T cell-mediated disease, which comprises administering to a patient in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising an antibody directed against interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the sensitized T cell-mediated disease is uveitis, chronic thyroiditis, delayed hypersensitivity, contact dermatitis, or atopic dermatitis.
