Abstract
A method is for determining suitability of various contrast agents for the imaging examination of the. In this case, a tissue sample is taken from the patient, it is divided into a plurality of individual samples and a contrast agent which binds to a particular target structure in the tissue is added to each individual sample. The individual samples are examined by an analysis or imaging method in order to determine the suitability of the various contrast agents for the imaging examination of the patient.

A method for determining suitability of various contrast agents for the imaging examination of the patient, the method comprising:
- taking a tissue sample from the patient;
- dividing the tissue sample into a plurality of individual samples;
- adding a contrast agent, which binds to a particular target structure in the tissue, to each individual sample;
- and
- examining the individual samples to determine suitability of various contrast agents for the imaging examination of the patient.
A method for selection of a suitable contrast agent for carrying out an imaging examination of a patient, the method comprising:
- taking a tissue sample from the patient;
- dividing the tissue sample into a plurality of individual samples;
- adding a contrast agent, which binds to a particular target structure in the tissue, to each individual sample;
- and
- selecting a suitable contrast agent for carrying out the imaging examination of a patient based upon an examination of the individual samples.
