Abstract
An optical signal emitted from an optical transmitter is received and converted into electrical signals by a plurality of photodetectors 12a individually. A plurality of amplifiers 13a individually amplify the electrical signals converted by the respective corresponding photodetectors 12a. A plurality of identification sections 14a individually identify multivalued digital data of the optical signal based on the amplified electrical signals output the respective corresponding amplifiers 13a. A determination section 15 examines all of a plurality of pieces of digital data output by the plurality of identification sections 14a to determine digital data which is to be output from the optical receiver 1.
Claims9
An optical receiver of performing data communication using an optical signal, comprising:
- a plurality of photodetectors of receiving the optical signal;
- a plurality of amplifiers provided corresponding to the plurality of photodetectors, and of amplifying signals output from the respective photodetectors;
- a plurality of identification sections provided corresponding to the plurality of amplifiers, and of identifying digital data of the optical signal based on signals of the respective amplifiers;
- and
- a determination section of receiving a plurality of pieces of identified digital data output from the plurality of identification sections, and based on the plurality of pieces of identified digital data, determining digital data to be output.
