Abstract
A method for receiving an indication to apply a first modulation scheme to modulate one or more segments of the first portion; determining a first segment set, having at least one segment of the first portion for applying said first modulation scheme; modulating said first segment set of the first portion using said first modulation scheme; and modulating one or more segments of the second portion using a second scheme, different from first modulation scheme.
Claims58
A method of modulating a communication frame, having a first portion and a second portion, each portion having one or more segments, the method comprising:
- determining a first segment set, said first segment set having at least one the segment of the first portion for applying a first modulation scheme;
- modulating said first segment set of the first portion using said first modulation scheme;
- and
- modulating one or more segments of the second portion using a second scheme, different from said first modulation scheme.
A method of demodulating a communication frame, having a first portion and a second portion, each portion having one or more segments, the method comprising:
- determining a first segment set for applying a first demodulation scheme, said first segment set comprising at least one segment of the first portion;
- demodulating said first segment set of the first portion using said first demodulation scheme;
- and
- demodulating one or more segments of the second portion using a second scheme.
An apparatus for modulating a communication frame, having a first portion and a second portion, each portion having one or more segments, the apparatus comprising:
- means for determining a first segment set, said first segment set having at least one the segment of the first portion for applying a first modulation scheme;
- means for modulating said first segment set of the first portion using said first modulation scheme;
- and
- means for modulating one or more segments of the second portion using a second scheme, different from said first modulation scheme.
An apparatus for demodulating a communication frame having a first portion and a second portion, each portion having one or more segments, the apparatus comprising:
- means for determining a first segment set for applying a first demodulation scheme, said first segment set comprising at least one segment of the first portion;
- means for demodulating said first segment set of the first portion using said first demodulation scheme;
- and
- means for demodulating one or more segments of the second portion using a second scheme, different from said first demodulation scheme.
A machine-readable medium comprising instructions which, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations including:
- determining a first segment set for applying a first demodulation scheme, said first segment set comprising at least one segment of a first portion of a communication frame;
- demodulating said first segment set of said first portion using said first demodulation scheme;
- and
- demodulating one or more segments of a second portion of said frame using a second scheme, different from said first demodulation scheme.
A machine-readable medium comprising instructions which, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to perform operations including:
- determining a first segment set for applying a first modulation scheme, said first segment set comprising at least one segment of a first portion;
- modulating said first segment set of said first portion using said first modulation scheme;
- and
- modulating one or more segments of a second portion of a communication frame using a second scheme, different from said first modulation scheme.
In a wireless communication system, an apparatus comprising:
- an electronic device, said electronic device configured to determine a first segment set for applying a first demodulation scheme, said first segment set comprising at least one segment of a first portion of a communication frame, to demodulate said first segment set of said first portion using said first demodulation scheme, and demodulate one or more segments of a second portion of said communication frame using a second scheme, different from said first demodulation scheme.
In a wireless communication system, an apparatus comprising:
- an electronic device, said electronic device configured to receive an indication to apply a first modulation scheme to modulate one or more segments of a first portion of a communication frame, to determine a first segment set, having at least one segment of said first portion for applying said first modulation scheme, to modulate said first segment set of said first portion using said first modulation scheme and to modulate one or more segments of the second portion of a frame using a second scheme, different from said first modulation scheme.
