Abstract
Embodiments of methods and apparatus for providing an admission control system in a wireless mesh network are generally described herein. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.
Claims30
A method comprising:
- identifying a condition associated with admission of a traffic flow at a first node in response to receipt of an admission control request from a second node, the first and second nodes being associated with a wireless mesh network;
- and
- generating an admission control response indicative of the condition associated with admission of the traffic flow.
An article of manufacture including content, which when accessed, causes a machine to:
- identify a condition associated with admission of a traffic flow at a first node in response to receipt of an admission control request from a second node, the first and second nodes being associated with a wireless mesh network;
- and
- generate an admission control response indicative of the condition associated with admission of the traffic flow.
An apparatus comprising:
- an identifier to identify a condition associated with admission of a traffic flow at a first node in response to receipt of an admission control request from a second node, the first and second nodes being associated with a wireless mesh network;
- and
- a generator to generate an admission control response indicative of the condition associated with admission of the traffic flow.
A system comprising:
- a flash memory;
- and
- a processor coupled to the flash memory to identify a condition associated with admission of a traffic flow at a first node in response to receipt of an admission control request from a second node, and to generate an admission control response indicative of the condition associated with admission of the traffic flow,
- wherein the first and second nodes being associated with a wireless mesh network.

- generating an admission control request associated with a traffic flow;
- transmitting the admission control request from a first node to a second node, the first and second nodes being associated with a wireless mesh network;
- and
- receiving an admission control response from a second node at the first node, the admission control response being indicative of a condition associated with admission of the traffic flow.
