In a transmission type screen structured to have at least two layers, namely, a first layer having a lenticular lens and having black stripes on the viewer's side relative to the lenticular lens and a second layer adjacent to the first layer, which are disposed sequentially as viewed from the viewer's side, the focal distance of the lenticular lens of the first layer is so set that external light having been skewly incident from the viewer's side and having passed through the gaps between the black stripes of the first layer is reflected on the lens surface of the lenticular lens of the first layer to impinge on the black stripes, whereby the “waviness” due to the light reflected by the second layer can be suppressed more effectively.
