Abstract
Object images taken for a predetermined period before a shutter key is pressed are stored in a buffer. During the period, past object images taken at every one second are read from the buffer, the read images are displayed in predetermined areas in a through image, and the images in the areas are updated. When the shutter key is pressed, a moving image for the predetermined period is generated from the object images stored in the buffer. Thereby, in a digital camera which records images for a predetermined period acquired just before as the moving image, it is possible to precisely determine a timing to perform the recording and saving instruction.
Claims15
A moving-image recording device comprising:
- a memory which receives frame images and stores a predetermined amount of recent frame images while updating the stored frame images;
- a display which displays the received frame images as a moving image on a display screen;
- a selector which selects a predetermined number of frame images among the frame images stored in the memory while updating the selected frame images;
- a display controller which displays the selected frame images as still images in addition to the moving image on the display screen while updating the displayed frame images;
- and
- a recording unit which records the frame images stored in the memory as a moving image file in response to a recording instruction.
A moving-image recording method comprising:
- storing a predetermined amount of recent frame images while updating the stored frame images;
- selecting a predetermined number of frame images among the stored predetermined amount of frame images while updating the selected frame images and displaying the selected predetermined number of frame images and a new frame image to be newly stored on a same display screen while updating the displayed frame images;
- determining whether a recording instruction is issued;
- and
- recording the stored predetermined amount of frame images as a moving image file in response to the recording instruction.
An article of manufacture comprising a computer usable medium having computer readable program code means embodied therein, the computer readable program code means comprising:
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to store a predetermined amount of recent frame images while updating the stored frame images;
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to select a predetermined number of frame images among the stored predetermined amount of frame images while updating the selected frame images and display the selected predetermined number of frame images and a new frame image to be newly stored on a same display screen while updating the displayed frame images;
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to determine whether a recording instruction is issued;
- and
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to record the stored predetermined amount of frame images as a moving image file in response to the recording instruction.
A moving-image recording device comprising:
- a display which displays a moving image on a display screen;
- a memory which stores a predetermined amount of frame images included in the moving image while updating the stored frame images;
- a memory controller which starts storing of the predetermined amount of frame images in response to a start instruction;
- a detector which detects an amount of frame images stored in the memory;
- a display controller which displays the detected amount of frame images in addition to the moving image on the display screen while updating the displayed frame images;
- and
- a recording unit which records the frame images stored in the memory as a moving image file in response to a recording instruction.
A moving-image recording method comprising:
- displaying a moving image on a display screen;
- storing a predetermined amount of frame images included in the moving image while updating the stored frame images;
- starting storing of the predetermined amount of frame images in response to a start instruction;
- detecting an amount of the stored frame images;
- displaying the detected amount of frame images in addition to the moving image on the display screen while updating the displayed frame images;
- and
- recording the frame images stored in the memory as a moving image file in response to a recording instruction.
An article of manufacture comprising a computer usable medium having computer readable program code means embodied therein, the computer readable program code means comprising:
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to display a moving image on a display screen;
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to store a predetermined amount of frame images included in the moving image while updating the stored frame images;
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to start storing of the predetermined amount of frame images in response to a start instruction;
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to detect an amount of the stored frame images;
- computer readable program code means for causing a computer to display the detected amount of frame images in addition to the moving image on the display screen while updating the displayed frame images;
- and computer readable program code means for causing a computer to record the frame images stored in the memory as a moving image file in response to a recording instruction.
