Pipeline skid and a skid system for use in pipeline construction

A skid system adapted to support at least two ranges of different pipe diameters, comprising:

• a. a plurality of pedestals, each pedestal defined by a continuous wall having an outside surface, an inside surface, and an opening that extends from a first pedestal end to a second pedestal end;
• and
• b. A plurality of yokes, each yoke comprising a cradle and a coupling member, said cradle shaped to match a largest pipe diameter in said at least two ranges of different pipe diameters, said coupling member shaped to demountably couple within said opening at said second pedestal end.

A skid system adapted to support a range of different diameter pipes, comprising:

• a. a plurality stackable pedestals, each stackable pedestal defined by a continuous wall that encloses an opening, said opening extending from a first pedestal end to a second pedestal end, each said stackable pedestal including at least two support blocks, said support blocks having a top surface height positioned to receive a stacked pedestal at a raised position over said continuous wall, said stacked pedestal raised position preventing a surface-to-surface contact between adjacent continuous walls of stacked pedestals;
• and
• b. a plurality of yokes, each yoke adapted to demountably coupled to said second pedestal end of a stackable pedestal, each said yoke including a cradle shaped to support a pipe.
