Spot removal device

A method of removing a spot from a surface, the method comprising:

• providing a spot removal device having a plurality of cleaning solution reservoirs, a rinse solution reservoir, an extracted solution reservoir, and a control allowing an operator to select among the plurality of cleaning solutions;
• placing the spot removal device adjacent an area with a spot;
• selecting among the plurality of cleaning solutions via manipulation of the control;
• dispensing the selected cleaning solution onto the area with the spot;
• agitating at least a portion of the area with the spot;
• applying the rinse solution onto the area with the spot;
• and
• extracting the cleaning solution and rinse solution from the area with the spot.

A spot extraction cleaning device comprising:

• a housing,
• a head coupled to the housing and adapted for engagement with a surface containing a spot;
• a plurality of cleaning solution reservoirs coupled to the housing and in fluid communication with the head, wherein each cleaning solution reservoir contains a different cleaning solution;
• a control coupled to the housing to allow an operator of the cleaning device to selectively control which cleaning solution is dispensed;
• an agitation device coupled to the head and adapted to agitate the surface during cleaning operations;
• a rinse fluid reservoir coupled to the housing and in fluid communication with the head;
• an extracted fluid reservoir coupled to the housing and in fluid communication with the head;
• and
• a vacuum source coupled to the housing and in fluid communication with the head and the extracted fluid reservoir;
• wherein the cleaning device is automatically controlled, such that when the operator selects a cleaning solution to be dispensed via the control, the cleaning device automatically dispenses the cleaning solution, automatically activates the agitation device, automatically dispenses the rinse fluid, and automatically extracts the cleaning solution and rinse fluid, without operator interaction.
