Easily removable water resistant cosmetic makeup compositions

A leave-on cosmetic composition for making up and/or nontherapeutic care of keratin fibers, the composition comprising:

• at least one polyelectrolyte;
• and
• at least one surfactant having an HLB of at least about 6 at 25° C.;
• wherein:
• the polyelectrolyte is branched and/or crosslinked;
• the composition comprises at least one of water and a water-soluble solvent in an amount of less than about 50% by weight relative to a total weight of the composition;
• and
• the composition comprises an oily continuous phase.

A leave-on cosmetic composition for making up and/or nontherapeutic care of keratin fibers, the composition comprising:

• at least one polyelectrolyte;
• and
• at least one surfactant having an HLB of at least about 6 at 25° C.;
• wherein:
• the polyelectrolyte comprises at least one member selected from the group consisting of an acrylamide/2-methyl-2-[(1-oxo-2-propenyl)amino]-1-propanesulphonic acid copolymer, a polyacrylate, a crosslinked starch glycolate in powdered form, a starch-based grafted copolymer, an ionizable polysaccharide derivative, a polyacrylic acid, a polyacrylic acid alkyl acrylate copolymer, a polyacrylamidomethylpropanesulphonic acid partially neutralized with aqueous anmmonia and highly crosslinked (AMPS), a crosslinked polyoxyethylenated AMPS/alkyl methacrylate copolymer, and a non-crosslinked polyoxyethylenated AMPS/alkyl methacrylate copolymer;
• and
• the composition comprises an oily continuous phase.
