Abstract
A system, apparatus and method of selecting graphical component types at runtime are provided. When a graphical component is to be displayed in a GUI, which usually has a type, the type of the GUI is first determined. Type in this case is used to signify a look, feel and behavior that are to be exhibited by the graphical component. After determining the type of the GUI, the graphical component may be created based on the type of the GUI. After it has been created, the graphical component will be displayed in the GUI.

A method of selecting graphical component types at runtime to display into a graphical user interface (GUI), the GUI having a type, the type being a look, feel and behavior expected from graphical components displayed therein, the method comprising the steps of:
- determining the type of the GUI;
- creating all graphical components to be displayed in the GUI, the graphical components being created based on the type of the GUI;
- and
- displaying the graphical components in the GUI.
A computer program product on a computer readable medium for selecting graphical component types at runtime to display into a graphical user interface (GUI), the GUI having a type, the type being a look, feel and behavior expected from graphical components displayed therein, the computer program product comprising:
- program code means for determining the type of the GUI;
- program code means for creating all graphical components to be displayed in the GUI, the graphical components being created based on the type of the GUI;
- and
- program code means for displaying the graphical components in the GUI.
A system for selecting graphical component types at runtime to display into a graphical user interface (GUI), the GUI having a type, the type being a look, feel and behavior expected from graphical components displayed therein, the system comprising:
- at least one storage device for storing code data;
- and
- at least one processor for processing the code data to determine the type of the GUI, to create all graphical components to be displayed in the GUI, the graphical components being created based on the type of the GUI, and to display the graphical components in the GUI.
