Modified class loaders and methods of use

A computer program product, embodied on computer readable-material, the computer program product including executable instructions that cause a computer system to:

• receive a request for a class definition in a first class loader;
• retrieve at least one delegation token associated with the first class loader;
• identify a child class loader having a naming token matching the retrieved at least one delegation token;
• and
• request the class definition from the matching child class loader.

An apparatus comprising:

• means for receiving a request for a class definition in a first class loader;
• means for retrieving at least one delegation token associated with the first class loader;
• means for identifying a child class loader having a naming token matching the retrieved at least one delegation token;
• and
• means for requesting the class definition from the matching child class loader.

A method comprising:

• receiving a request for a class definition in a first class loader;
• serially retrieving a plurality of delegation tokens associated with the first class loader until a child class loader having a naming token matching the retrieved at least one delegation token is identified;
• and
• requesting the class definition from the matching child class loader.
