Use of the compound of formula I:

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof, to treat brain cancer in a mammal.

Use of the compound of formula I:

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof, to treat leukemia in a mammal.

Use of claim 17 wherein the compound of formula I is formulated to be administered by injection.

Use of a farnesyl dibenzodiazepinone for the preparation of a medicament to treat a neoplasm in a mammal.

Use of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula I:

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, for the preparation of a medicament to inhibit the growth or proliferation of a neoplastic cell.

Use of a pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula I:

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof, together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, for the preparation of a medicament to treat a neoplasm in a mammal.

Use of any one of claims 17-28 wherein the pharmaceutical composition is administered in a single dose.

A commercial package comprising a farnesyl dibenzodiazepinone and written matter describing instructions for its use for inhibiting the growth or proliferation of a neoplastic cell.

• or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof, and a written matter describing instructions for the use of the compound of formula I or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof for treating a neoplastic disorder in a mammal.
