Abstract
An apparatus, method, and computer readable storage for automatically deciding slot machine configuration changes. Slot machine usage is electronically monitored and ideal settings are determined from the usage. Slot machines can then be updated electronically according to the ideal settings, either automatically or upon operator approval.
Claims36
A method for changing gaming machine settings, the method comprising:
- receiving usage data from a plurality of gaming machines;
- determining desired settings for one or more of the gaming machines using the usage data;
- and
- updating current settings for the one or more gaming machines to the desired settings.
A method for changing game machine settings, the method comprising:
- using current data from a first gaming machine to determine desirable settings for a second gaming machine;
- and
- changing settings for the second gaming machine to the desirable settings.
A method for changing game machine settings, the method comprising:
- receiving a remote request for a change in a setting on a game machine;
- checking if the game machine is in use;
- and
- if the game machine is not in use, performing the change.
A method comprising:
- receiving, on a slot machine, a remote request to change denominations currently offered by the machine;
- and
- automatically changing the denominations offered by the machine according to the request.
A method, comprising:
- storing a plurality of slot machine configuration files, each configuration file associated with a respective slot machine model;
- categorizing the stored slot machine configuration files into categories;
- and
- updating a targeted slot machine using a configuration file associated with a model of the targeted slot machine and a selected category.
A method, comprising:
- determining a current measure of current casino conditions;
- retrieving historical casino conditions;
- updating a slot machine using a configuration based on both the current measure and the historical casino conditions.
A method, comprising:
- retrieving non casino activity data;
- and
- updating a configuration of a slot machine based on the non casino activity data.
An apparatus for changing game machine settings, the apparatus comprising:
- a plurality of slot machines;
- a central server receiving usage data from the plurality of slot machines;
- a traffic monitor receiving analyzing the usage data and determining ideal settings;
- and
- a configuration unit altering configurations of the slot machines using the ideal settings.
A computer readable storage medium storing a program controlling a computer to perform:
- receiving usage data for a plurality of slot machines;
- analyzing the usage data;
- and outputting profitable settings for the slot machines based on the analyzing.
