Abstract
Embodiments of the present invention comprise systems, methods and devices for providing document management through the use of an imaging device.
Claims36
A method for imaging device document management, said method comprising:
- a) receiving document data at an imaging device;
- b) receiving a document at said imaging device;
- c) indexing said document based on said document data;
- and
- d) storing said document.
A method for imaging device document management, said method comprising:
- a) receiving document data at an imaging device;
- b) receiving a document at said imaging device;
- c) sending said document data and said document to a remote computing device (RCD);
- d) indexing said document at said RCD with said document data;
- and
- e) storing said document.
A method for imaging device document management, said method comprising:
- a) receiving document data at an imaging device;
- b) identifying any indexed documents that are related to said document data;
- c) sending at least one of said documents to a destination.
A method for imaging device document management, said method comprising:
- a) receiving document data at an imaging device;
- b) sending said document data to a remote computing device;
- c) identifying any indexed documents that are related to said document data;
- d) retrieving at least one of said indexed documents;
- and
- e) sending at least one of said documents to a destination.
A method for imaging device document management, said method comprising:
- a) identifying a user at an imaging device;
- b) validating said user identification;
- c) providing access to document management functions;
- d) receiving document data at an imaging device;
- e) receiving a document at said imaging device;
- f) indexing said document;
- and
- g) storing said document.
An imaging device, said device comprising:
- a) a document data receiver;
- b) a document receiver;
- c) a document indexer;
- and
- d) a document storage resource.
An imaging device, said device comprising:
- a) a document data receiver;
- b) a document storage resource for storing indexed documents;
- and
- c) a document retriever for retrieving indexed documents.
A remote computing device for providing document management functions to an imaging device, said remote computing device comprising:
- a) a document data receiver;
- b) a document receiver;
- c) a document indexer;
- d) a document storage resource;
- and
- e) a communication link for communication with an imaging device.
A remote computing device for providing document management functions to an imaging device, said remote computing device comprising:
- a) a document data receiver;
- b) a document storage resource;
- c) an indexed document retriever;
- and
- d) a communication link for communication with an imaging device.
An imaging system comprising:
- a) an imaging device (IDev);
- b) a remote computing device (RCD);
- c) a communication link between said IDev and said RCD;
- d) a document data receiver on said IDev;
- e) a document receiver on said IDev;
- f) a document indexer on said RCD;
- and
- g) a document storage resource connected to said RCD;
- h) wherein said IDev and said RCD communicate using a Web Service.
