Abstract
A system and method that determine a portion of video data with relevant information about that video to be used in statistical calculations associated with the video. The method may comprise determining the starting line and ending line of the portion of video data with the relevant information. The remaining portion of the video data may comprise information that may contain no statistical information. The remaining portion may be a vertical blanking interval.
Claims23
A method that processes video data, the method comprising:
- determining a first portion of the video data containing information needed to determine video-related data;
- and
- generating the video-related data utilizing only the first portion of the video data.
A system that processes video data, the system comprising:
- at least one processor capable of determining a first portion of the video data containing information needed to determine video-related data;
- and
- the at least one processor capable of generating the video-related data utilizing only the first portion of the video data.
A machine-readable storage having stored thereon, a computer program having at least one code section that processes video data, the at least one code section being executable by a machine for causing the machine to perform steps comprising:
- determining a first portion of the video data containing information needed to determine video-related data;
- and
- generating the video-related data utilizing only the first portion of the video data.
