Radiation image pick-up apparatus and system

A radiation image pick-up apparatus comprising:

• a conversion element for converting a radiation into an electrical signal;
• a reading element for reading out the electrical signal from the conversion element;
• a drive circuit for driving the reading element;
• a detection element for detecting a start or an end of emission of the radiation;
• and
• a control circuit for controlling the drive circuit
• wherein the control circuit controls the driving circuit such that a driving of the reading element starts according to the detection of the end of the emission of the radiation by the detection element.

A radiation image pick-up apparatus comprising:

• a conversion element for converting a radiation into an electrical signal;
• a reading element for reading out the electrical signal from the conversion element;
• a drive circuit for driving the reading element;
• a detection element for detecting a start or an end of emission of the radiation;
• and
• a control circuit for controlling the drive circuit,
• wherein the control circuit controls the conversion element to perform a storage operation of converting the radiation into the electrical signal and of storing the electrical signal, controls the reading element to perform a reading operation of reading out the electrical signal from the conversion element, and controls the conversion element to perform, before the storage operation, an idling operation to make a characteristic of the conversion element stable, and
• wherein the control circuit controls the performance of a transition from the idling operation to the storage operation according to the detection of the start of emission of the radiation by the detection element.
