Carrying apparatus and method for a portable device

A carrying apparatus for a portable device comprising, in combination:

• a strap having a first end and a second end and adapted to be positioned across an underside of a portable device;
• wherein said first end is adapted to be coupled to a first side of a portable device at substantially a center portion thereof;
• and
• a strap attachment bracket adapted to be removably coupled to a second, opposite side of said portable device;
• wherein said strap attachment bracket has an attachment area thereon adapted to receive said second end of said strap;
• and
• wherein said strap attachment bracket is reversible on said second side of said portable device, between an orientation positioning said attachment area proximate a right side of said portable device and an orientation positioning said attachment area proximate a left side of said portable device.

A method for carrying a portable device comprising the steps of:

• providing a shoulder strap having a padded region and a cord region;
• wherein said padded region is adapted to rest on a superior portion of a person's shoulder;
• providing a shoulder strap catch adapted to be coupled at an end thereof to said portable device;
• wherein said shoulder strap catch defines an opening therethrough;
• wherein said cord region is slidably retained within said opening so that said shoulder strap catch may be moved along said cord region without dislodging said padded region from said superior region;
• providing said portable device having said shoulder strap catch coupled at an end thereof.

A method for carrying a portable device comprising the steps of:

• providing a strap having a first end and a second end and adapted to be positioned across an underside of a portable device;
• wherein said first end is adapted to be coupled to a first side of a portable device at substantially a center portion thereof;
• and
• providing a strap attachment bracket adapted to be removably coupled to a second, opposite side of said portable device;
• wherein said strap attachment bracket has an attachment area thereon adapted to receive said second end of said strap;
• and
• wherein said strap attachment bracket is reversible on said second side of said portable device, between an orientation positioning said attachment area proximate a right side of said portable device and an orientation positioning said attachment area proximate a left side of said portable device;
• providing said portable device;
• and
• reversing said strap attachment bracket between an orientation positioning said attachment area proximate a right side of said portable device and an orientation positioning said attachment area proximate a left side of said portable device.
