Methods and systems for exchanging and or transferring various forms of value

A computer implemented method for transferring funds from a first user to a second user, the method comprising:

• receiving a request for one or more display pages from a first user computer, the one or more display pages being configured to receive information from the first user related to the transfer of funds from the first user to the second user;
• in response to the request, providing the one or more display pages to the first user computer;
• receiving information from the first user computer via the one or more display pages, the information including at least an amount of funds;
• receiving an authorization to transfer the amount of the funds from the first user to the second user;
• and
• in response to receiving the authorization, sending a message to the second user to inform the second user of the amount of funds that has been authorized for transfer to the second user.

A method for transferring funds from a first user to a second user, the method comprising:

• providing a kiosk for performing money-based transactions, the kiosk including at least a central computer and a user-interface operatively connected to the central computer;
• receiving second user information from the first user via the user-interface of the kiosk, the second user information at least partially identifying the second user;
• receiving funds information from the first user via the user-interface of the kiosk, the funds information including at least an amount of funds to transfer from the first user to the second user;
• sending a request to a remote computer for authorization to transfer the amount of funds to the second user;
• receiving an authorization from the remote computer to transfer the amount of funds to the second user;
• and
• in response to receiving the authorization, sending a message to the second user to inform the second user of the amount of funds that has been authorized for transfer to the second user.

A computer implemented method for transferring funds to a recipient, the method comprising:

• requesting one or more display pages from a web site, the one or more display pages being configured to receive information related to funds transfers;
• in response to the request, receiving the one or more display pages from the web site;
• entering information on the one or more display pages, the entered information including at least an amount of funds to be transferred to the recipient;
• and
• sending the one or more display pages back to the web site with the entered information.

A computer-readable medium containing computer-executable instructions, the computer-executable instructions causing a computer to transfer funds from a first user to a second user by a method comprising:

• receiving a request for one or more display pages from a first user computer, the one or more display pages being configured to receive information from the first user related to the transfer of the funds from the first user to the second user;
• in response to the request, providing the one or more display pages to the first user computer;
• receiving information from the first user computer via the one or more display pages, the information including at least an amount of the funds;
• receiving an authorization to transfer the amount of the funds from the first user to the second user;
• and
• in response to receiving the authorization, sending a message to a second user computer to inform the second user of the amount of the funds that has been authorized for transfer to the second user.

A computer-readable medium containing a display page configured to receive information from a user related to a transfer of funds from the user to a recipient, the display page comprising:

• a recipient address field configured to receive an address of the recipient;
• an amount field configured to receive an amount of the funds to be transferred from the recipient;
• and
• a source field configured to receive an account number identifying an account to be debited the amount of the funds.

A computer system for transferring funds from a first user to a second user, the computer system comprising:

• means for receiving a request for one or more display pages from a first user computer, the one or more display pages being configured to receive information from the first user related to the transfer of the funds from the first user to the second user;
• means for providing the one or more display pages to the first user computer in response to the request;
• means for receiving information from the first user computer via the one or more display pages, the received information including at least an amount of the funds;
• means for requesting an authorization to transfer the amount of the funds from the first user to the second user;
• and
• means for sending a message to a second user computer in response to receiving the authorization, the message configured to inform the second user of the amount of the funds that has been authorized for transfer to the second user.
