Abstract
A plastic composition including polymeric nanoparticles having a diameter of 1 to 100 nanometers, and a polymeric component. Also provided is a method for providing such a plastic composition.
Claims3
A plastic composition comprising polymeric nanoparticles having a diameter of 1 to 50 nanometers and which have not been vulcanized, and a plastic component, wherein said plastic component comprising at least one of the following:
- a nylon composition, a poly(butylene terphthalate) composition, a poly(ethylene terephthalate) composition or blends of the above with other engineering resins, such as a polycarbonate composition.

A method for providing a plastic composition comprising:
- a. forming polymeric nanoparticles having a diameter of 1 to 50 nanometers without vulcanizing said polymeric nanoparticles;
- and
- b. obtaining a plastic component comprising at least one of the following:
- a nylon composition, a poly(butylene terphthalate) composition, a poly(ethylene terephthalate) composition or blends of the above with other engineering resins, such as a polycarbonate composition;
- and
- c. forming a plastic composition comprising said polymeric nanoparticles and said plastic component.
