Abstract
Methods of treating dry eye by administering fixed combinations of MUC-1 secretagogues, such as HETE derivatives, and anti-inflammatory steroids are disclosed.

A composition for the treatment of dry eye and other disorders requiring the wetting of the eye comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, a pharmaceutically effective amount of an anti-inflammatory steroid and a pharmaceutically effective amount of a MUC-1 secretagogue.
A method of treating dry eye or other disorders requiring the wetting of the eye comprising topically administering to the eye a composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, a pharmaceutically effective amount of an anti-inflammatory steroid and a pharmaceutically effective amount of a MUC-1 secretagogue.
