Removable caster system

A refrigerated case, comprising:

• a first frame member and a second frame member coupled to the case;
• a passage in at least one of the first frame member and the second frame member;
• at least one tube member having a first end telescopingly received in the passage;
• a caster coupled to a second end of the tube member,
• at least one pair of apertures in the tube member and at least one pair of apertures in at least one of the first frame member and the second frame member;
• at least one pin member configured to extend through a pair of apertures in the tube member and a pair of apertures in the first or second frame member;
• so that the tube member and the caster may be coupled to the case for adjustable extension and retraction relative to the case to provide a desired degree of stability during a first condition where mobility of the refrigerated display case is desired and may be removed to facilitate a second condition where the refrigerated display case is desired to remain stationary.

A system for moving a refrigeration device;

• comprising:
• a frame for supporting the refrigeration device;
• at least one pair of stationary casters removably coupled to the frame;
• at least one pair of adjustable casters removably coupled to the frame and adjustable relative to the frame within a range between an extended position and a retracted position;
• a positioner on at least one of the frame and the adjustable casters operable to establish a position for the adjustable casters relative to the frame within the range;
• wherein the stationary casters and the adjustable casters are configured to provide a desired degree of stability during movement of the refrigeration device and the stationary casters and the adjustable casters are removable following movement of the refrigeration device.
