Abstract
An aerodynamic wing formed by a flexible canopy with an internally routed canopy line for controlling the canopy profile. Preferably, the canopy line is routed through a gatherable tube secured to the trailing edge of the canopy. Tensioning the canopy line alters the canopy profile to facilitate launching the kite.

An aerodynamic wing comprising a leading edge, a trailing edge, a flexible canopy forming a lifting surface, and an internally routed canopy line secured to the canopy configured so that changing tension of the canopy line alters the lifting surface.
A method for controlling an aerodynamic wing comprising the steps of:
- a) providing an aerodynamic wing comprising a leading edge, a trailing edge, a flexible canopy forming a lifting surface, and an internally routed canopy line secured to the canopy;
- and
- b) changing tension in the canopy line to alter the lifting surface of the wing.
