Abstract
The invention relates to a system and method for parsing and/or exporting one or more multi-relational ontologies. The system may apply a set of export constraints to one or more master ontologies to produce a redacted data subset. The redacted data subset may then be exported to a specified location or application.
Claims23
A computer-implemented system for parsing, packaging and exporting data from one or more multi-relational ontologies, the system comprising:
- one or more master ontologies including a plurality of assertions, wherein an assertion comprises a first concept, a second concept, and a relationship between the first concept and the second concept;
- means for applying one or more export constraints to the one or more master ontologies to produce a redacted set of assertions;
- means for storing the redacted set of assertions;
- and
- means for outputting the redacted set of assertions to a predetermined location in a predetermined format.
A computer-implemented method for providing access to one or more multi-relational ontologies or portions of one or more multi-relational ontologies to a customer, the method comprising:
- ascertaining a customer's knowledge requirements;
- storing a user profile based on the customer's knowledge requirements;
- storing one or more user access rights for a customer;
- applying one or more export constraints to one or more master ontologies to produce a redacted set of assertions, wherein the one or more export constraints are defined by one or more of the user profile or the one or more user access rights;
- and
- outputting the redacted set of assertions to a client specified location in a customer-specified format.
