Image processing method and image processing device

An image processing method for processing an electronic image to be projected onto a projection surface, comprising the following steps:

• providing the electronic image, the electronic image comprising a plurality of image lines (24,30,32) defining the shape of the electronic image, and an image content including a plurality of image elements,
• processing the image lines (24,30,32) using a processing device for changing the electronic image,
• newly computing the image content taking account of all of the image lines (24,30,32);
• and
• representing the newly computed electronic image, wherein
• during the processing of the image lines (24,30,32), the processing device rotates and/or shifts exactly one image line at a time to change the orientation and/or position of the image line, the orientation of the other image lines being maintained constant during the rotating and/or shifting of said one image line.

An image processing device, particularly for performing an image processing method comprising

• a storage means for storing electronic images comprising a plurality of image lines (24,30,32) defining the shape of the electronic image, and an image content including a plurality of image elements, the image lines (24,30,32) of the original electronic image including a plurality of partial sections (d1, d2, d3, d4) of equal lengths;
• a processing device provided to at least one of:
• (1) effect a respectively different rotation/compression of the partial sections, and (2) process the position and/or the orientation of respectively exactly one image line at a time;
• a computing means for performing a renewed computation of the image content of the electronic images taking into account all of the image lines (24,30,32);
• and
• a representing means for representing the newly computed electronic image.
