Abstract
A wrapper for wrapping a flower pot and/or floral grouping or another item such as a basket. The wrapper is constructed of a sheet of material having an extension attached to a portion of the sheet of material. When the wrapper is formed about a flower pot, floral grouping, or other item such as a basket to form a decorative cover, upper edges of the sheet of material and extension cooperate to form a skirt portion preferably having at least two separate edges providing a “two-sheet” effect in the decorative cover. The wrapper may have extensions on opposing ends of the sheet of material and may having one or more additional overlapping extensions.

A decorative wrapper, comprising:
- a sheet of material having a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, an upper surface, a lower surface, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge and the second edge;
- and
- an extension constructed of a second sheet of material and having a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge of the extension and the second edge of the extension, and the extension having a decorative pattern or decorative effect, and wherein the width of the extension is less than the width of the sheet of material, and wherein the extension comprises a facing portion which is superposed upon the upper surface of the sheet of material;
- and
- wherein the extension is attached via a seal to the upper surface of the sheet of material along only a portion of the facing portion of the extension whereby a majority of the facing portion of the extension is left unattached to the upper surface of the sheet of material and wherein the first edge of the extension is completely unattached to the sheet of material, and wherein the first edge of the extension extends beyond the first edge of the sheet of material, and wherein the extension extends separately from the sheet of material such that when the decorative wrapper is formed about an item having a bottom and an upper end to form a decorative cover thereabout, the first edge and the second edge of the sheet of material and the first edge of the extension are all disposed in a position substantially above the upper end of the item and wherein the sheet of material of the decorative cover substantially covers the bottom of the item.
A decorative wrapper, comprising:
- a sheet of material having a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, an upper surface, a lower surface, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge and the second edge;
- and
- an extension constructed of a second sheet of material and having a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge of the extension and the second edge of the extension, and the extension having a decorative pattern or decorative effect, and wherein the width of the extension is less than the width of the sheet of material, and wherein the extension comprises a facing portion which is superposed upon the upper surface of the sheet of material;
- and
- wherein the extension is substantially completely attached via a seal to the upper surface of the sheet of material along substantially the entire facing portion of the extension and wherein the first edge of the extension extends beyond the first edge of the sheet of material, and wherein the first edge of the extension is completely unattached to the sheet of material, and wherein the extension extends separately from the sheet of material such that when the decorative wrapper is formed about an item having a bottom and an upper end to form a decorative cover thereabout, the first edge and the second edge of the sheet of material and the first edge of the extension are all disposed in a position substantially above the upper end of the item and wherein the sheet of material of the decorative cover substantially covers the bottom of the item.
A decorative wrapper, comprising:
- a sheet of material having a first edge opposite the first edge, a second edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, an upper surface, a lower surface, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge and the second edge;
- and
- an extension constructed of a second sheet of material and having a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge of the extension and the second edge of the extension, and the extension having a decorative pattern or decorative effect, and wherein the width of the extension is less than the width of the sheet of material, and wherein the extension comprises a facing portion which is superposed upon the upper surface of the sheet of material;
- and
- wherein the extension is attached via a seal to the upper surface of the sheet of material along only a portion of the facing portion of the extension whereby a majority of the facing portion of the extension is left unattached to the upper surface of the sheet of material and wherein the first edge of the extension is completely unattached to the sheet of material, wherein the first edge of the extension is below or substantially flush with the first edge of the sheet of material, and wherein the extension extends separately from the sheet of material such that when the decorative wrapper is formed about an item having a bottom and an upper end to form a decorative cover thereabout, the first edge and second edge of the sheet of material and the first edge of the extension are all disposed in a position substantially above the upper end of the item and wherein the sheet of material of the decorative cover substantially covers the bottom of the item.
A decorative wrapper, comprising:
- a sheet of material having a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, an upper surface, a lower surface, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge and the second edge;
- and
- an extension constructed of a second sheet of material and having a first edge, a second edge opposite the first edge, a first side, a second side opposite the first side, and a width comprising the maximum distance between the first edge of the extension and the second edge of the extension, and the extension having a decorative pattern or decorative effect, and wherein the width of the extension is less than the width of the sheet of material, and wherein the extension comprises a facing portion which is superposed upon the upper surface of the sheet of material;
- and
- wherein the extension is substantially completely attached via a seal to the upper surface of the sheet of material along substantially the entire facing portion of the extension, and wherein the first edge of the extension is below or substantially flush with first edge of the sheet of material, and wherein when the decorative wrapper is formed about an item having a bottom and an upper end to form a decorative cover thereabout, the first edge and the second edge of the sheet of material and the first edge of the extension are all disposed in a position substantially above the upper end of the item and wherein the sheet of material of the decorative cover substantially covers the bottom of the item.
A decorative wrapper comprising:
- a first sheet of material having an outer peripheral edge;
- and
- a second sheet of material sized smaller than the first sheet of material,
- wherein the second sheet of material is at least partially attached to the first sheet of material and is adjacent to at least a portion of the outer peripheral edge of the first sheet of material such that when the decorative wrapper is formed about a flower pot having a top edge and a bottom, the bottom of the flower pot is covered by the first sheet of material and the bottom of the flower pot is substantially uncovered by the second sheet of material and the outer peripheral edge of the first sheet of material is adjacent to the top edge of the flower pot thereby providing a decorative wrapper having the appearance of two unconnected sheets of material that are both wrapped about the bottom of the flower pot.
