Abstract
A method for performing memory allocation includes clearing a section in memory in response to an allocation of memory to an object of a thread. The size of the section is larger than a size of the object and smaller than a size of a thread local area associated with the thread.
Claims24
A method for performing memory allocation, comprising:
- clearing a section in memory in response to an allocation of memory to an object of a thread, wherein a size of the section is larger than a size of the object and smaller than a size of a thread local area associated with the thread.
A method for performing memory allocation, comprising:
- clearing a first section in memory in response to a creation of a thread local area for a thread, wherein a size of the first section is smaller than a size of the thread local area.
An article of manufacture comprising a machine accessible medium including sequences of instructions, the sequences of instructions including instructions which when executed cause the machine to perform:
- clearing a first section in memory in response to a creation of a thread local area for a thread, wherein a size of the first section is smaller than a size of the thread local area.
A memory clearing unit, comprising:
- a memory clear unit to clear a first section in memory in response to a creation of a thread local area for a thread, wherein a size of the first section is smaller than a size of the thread local area.
A computer system, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- a processor implementing a memory clear unit to clear a first section in memory in response to a creation of a thread local area for a thread, wherein a size of the first section is smaller than a size of the thread local area.
