Abstract
A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly having positive and negative electrode plates, a separator, and positive and negative electrode tabs respectively attached to the positive and negative electrode plates; and a cap assembly having a cap plate, an electrode terminal, and a terminal plate. The terminal plate has a protrusion arranged between a side thereof having a terminal through-hole contained therein to which the electrode terminal is attached and the other side.

A secondary battery, comprising:
- an electrode assembly having positive and negative electrode plates, a separator, and positive and negative electrode tabs respectively attached to the positive and negative electrode plates;
- and
- a cap assembly having a cap plate, an electrode terminal, and a terminal plate;
- wherein the terminal plate has a protrusion arranged between a side thereof having a terminal through-hole contained therein to which the electrode terminal is attached and the other side.
