Abstract
Ceramic electronic components having improved peel resistance and a method of manufacturing them are disclosed. The components have laminated bodies that include internal electrodes which join or bond the layer to the external conductor and prevent the external conductor from peeling.

- and
- a least one internal electrode that is separated from the external electrode by at least one laminate layer and is bonded to the external electrode through a metal particle located in the separating layer.
A capacitor comprising:
- a laminated body having a plurality of dielectric layers that define end faces and principal faces;
- an internal electrode interposed between adjacent dielectric layers;
- an external electrode extended along a principal face;
- and
- the internal electrode that is separately from the extended portion of the external electrode by a dielectric layer and is connected to the extended portion of the external electrode through a metal particle existing in the separating dielectric layer.
A method of manufacturing an electronic component comprising:
- providing a first green sheet;
- applying a conductive paste containing a metal particle on a surface of the green sheet to establish an internal electrode pattern;
- laminating a second green sheet to the first green sheet adjacent to the internal electrode pattern;
- applying a conductive paste containing a metal particle on the second ceramic green sheet to form an external electrode pattern;
- and
- pressurizing the resultant product until the metal particle contained in the internal electrode pattern is partly embedded in the second green sheet and a part of the metal particle contained in the internal electrode pattern and a part of the metal particle contained in the external electrode pattern are bonded to each other by sintering.
A method of manufacturing a capacitor comprising:
- providing a dielectric ceramic green sheet;
- applying a conductive paste containing a metal particle on a surface of the dielectric ceramic green sheet to define an internal electrode pattern;
- laminating second dielectric ceramic green sheet adjacent to the internal electrode pattern;
- pressurizing the resultant product until the metal particle contained in the internal electrode pattern is partly embedded in the second ceramic green sheet;
- applying a conductive paste containing a metal particle on the second dielectric ceramic green sheet to define an external electrode pattern;
- and
- sintering to bond a part of the metal particle contained in the internal electrode pattern and a part of the metal particle contained in the external electrode pattern to each other.
A method of manufacturing a ceramic electronic component comprising:
- providing a ceramic green sheet;
- applying a metal particle containing conductive paste on a surface of the ceramic green sheet in an internal electrode pattern;
- laminating a second ceramic green sheet on the internal electrode pattern and allowing the metal particle in the internal electrode pattern to be partly exposed portion in a principal face of the laminate;
- firing the resultant laminate;
- and
- bonding an external electrode to the partly exposed portion of the metal particle on the principal face.
A method of manufacturing a capacitor comprising:
- defining an internal electrode pattern by applying a metal particle containing conductive paste to a surface of a dielectric ceramic green sheet;
- forming a laminate by applying a second dielectric ceramic green sheet adjacent internal electrode pattern so that the metal particle in the conductive paste is partly exposed from a principal face of the laminated body;
- firing the dielectric ceramic green sheets and the internal electrode pattern;
- and
- forming an external electrode on the principal face and bonding it to an exposed portion of the metal particle.
An electrical component comprising:
- a laminated body having a plurality of dielectric layers that define end faces and principal faces;
- an internal electrode interposed between adjacent dielectric layers and extending to one of the end faces;
- an external electrode electrically connected to the internal electrodes at an end face, and extended along a principal face;
