Abstract
A protective structure, wherein interior compartments are formed to enable retention of a variety of items, wherein frequently utilized items are accessible while the structure remains essentially closed, wherein adjustable supports enable utilization of an exterior surface of the structure as a work surface from a standing or seated position, and wherein the structure is particularly suited for organizing gift wrapping supplies within a sturdy, yet lightweight container, wherein the exterior container surface facilitates access to supplies during use, in addition to acting as a wrapping table/work surface.
Claims20
A combination storage and work table device, comprising:
- a container, said container having a plurality of internal compartments, and
- means for supporting said container, said means carried by said container and said means capable of assuming at least two positions, wherein a first said position supports said container above ground level, and wherein a second said position is generally proximate to the surface of and within a plane of said container.
A combination gift wrap storage and work table device, comprising:
- a container, said container having a generally rectangular upper surface and a plurality of internal compartments and dispensers, said plurality of internal compartments dimensioned to receive gift wrapping supplies, and
- an extensible leg support system for said container, said leg support system carried by said container, said leg support system capable of assuming at least two positions, wherein a first said position supports said container above ground level, and wherein a second said position is generally proximate to the surface of and within a plane of said container.
A method of storing and utilizing gift wrap, comprising the steps of:
- a) obtaining a storage container comprising height-adjustable legs and an exterior work surface;
- b) storing gift wrap with said storage container;
- c) retrieving said storage container from the storage location;
- d) accessing said gift wrap within said container;
- e) adjusting the height of said storage container to a user-preferred position;
- f) wrapping a gift on said exterior work surface of said storage container;
- g) returning said height-adjustable legs to storage position;
- h) returning said storage container to the storage location.
