Abstract
An embodiment of an encapsulated organic optoelectronic device is described. The encapsulated device includes a hybrid getter film which is composed of a getter and a handling agent.
Claims31
An encapsulated device package, comprising:
- a substrate;
- an organic electronic device disposed upon said substrate;
- an encapsulation lid enclosing said organic electronic device by attaching to said substrate;
- and
- a hybrid getter film attached to said encapsulation lid such that said film faces said organic electronic device within said package, said hybrid getter film prepared from a hybrid getter material consisting of a combination of a getter and a handling agent.

A hybrid getter material, comprising:
- a getter;
- and
- a handling agent, said handling agent combined with said getter to enable better handling of said hybrid getter material.
A method to fabricate a hybrid getter film for use in encapsulation of an organic electronic device by an encapsulation lid, comprising:
- utilizing a hybrid getter material to obtain said hybrid getter film, said hybrid getter material comprising a getter and a handling agent;
- and
- configuring said hybrid getter film into a getter coupon, said getter coupon having a size and shape appropriate for attaching to said encapsulation lid.
