Abstract
A paintball gun preferably includes an adjustable, clamping feed tube. The feed tube can, for instance, include a lever for closing and opening a clamp, thereby tightening or loosening a receiving end of a feed tube to secure or release a hopper neck. The feed tube also preferably includes a finger adjustable nut for adjusting the size of the receiving end to accommodate differently sized hopper necks.
Claims20
A feed tube, comprising:
- a receiving end for receiving a hopper neck;
- a clamp for tightening the receiving end when the clamp is in a closed position;
- and
- a lever, wherein operation of the clamp is controllable without tools by adjusting a position of the lever.

A method of connecting a hopper to a paintball gun, comprising;
- inserting a hopper neck into an opening in a receiving end of a feed tube connected to the paintball gun;
- and
- securing the hopper by adjusting a size of the opening in the receiving end of the feed tube by changing the position of a lever.
A method of securing a hopper in a feed tube of a paintball gun, comprising;
- enlarging a size of an opening in a receiving end of a feed tube by using a lever to change a position of a clamp;
- placing a hopper neck in the feed tube opening;
- and
- reducing the size of the feed tube opening by using the lever to change a position of the clamp.

A method of changing a hopper on a paintball gun, comprising:
- removing a hopper neck of a first hopper from a receiving end of a feed tube by moving a lever to release a clamping force;
- adjusting the size of an opening in the receiving end to accommodate a differently sized hopper neck of a second hopper;
- and
- inserting the differently sized hopper neck into the opening in the receiving end of the feed tube and securing the second hopper by moving the lever to engage a clamping force.
