Abstract
The invention is a mounting bracket having a generally rectangular, flat body with an outside edge, a front and a back. A first support guide for a first pipe is positioned proximate to and within the boundary of the outside edge, the first support guide having a substantially complete enclosure. A handle is formed within the boundary of and proximate to the outside edge of the body, for lifting the mounting bracket. A base is coupled to and extends outwardly from the outside edge of the body and further provides support to the body.
Claims18
A heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC) assembly comprising:
- a first bracket having a body with a support guide and a base coupled to the body, the base configured to attach to a duct so as to provide support to the body;
- a pipe assembly traversing the first bracket so that the support guide provides support to the pipe assembly;
- a handle coupled to the body and configured to maneuver the bracket, wherein the bracket is configured to maintain support for the pipe while the bracket is maneuvered by the handle.
A heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC) assembly comprising:
- a piping assembly and;
- first and second mounting brackets, each mounting bracket including:
- a body forming a plane;
- a first arm coupled to the body;
- a second arm coupled to the body and opposite the first arm;
- a support guide in each of the first arm and the second arm, each support guide receiving a pipe assembly and providing support to the pipe assembly, the plane formed by the body configured to be traversed by a line formed by the pipe assembly;
- and
- a base coupled to the body and configured to attach to a platform, the base further configured to provide support to the body.
A method of transporting an HVAC assembly, the method comprising:
- supporting a piping assembly with a mounting bracket;
- attaching a pressure gauge to the piping assembly;
- pressurizing the piping assembly;
- transporting the pressurized piping assembly with the supporting mounting brackets to a customer;
- verifying the pressurized piping assembly has no leaks;
- and
- moving the piping assembly by the mounting brackets.
