Abstract
A storage unit includes a nozzle unit, a storage space holding an active substance, an openable closure element sealing the storage space, a store output that includes the nozzle unit and a nozzle entry space having a circumferential inner wall arranged between a nozzle inlet and the closure element and a propellant charge and a firing charge for firing the propellant charge in order to force the active substance out of the storage space through the store output into a free environment, where the closure element is configured to remain attached to the storage unit and not interfere with the discharge of the active substance.
Claims23
A replaceable filling tank for a defensive apparatus,
- said filling tank having a sleeve, which holds an active defensive substance usable against a personal agressor,
- said sleeve having a closure element, a fireable propellant charge and a piston,
- said piston being driveable towards the closure element by a propellant gas from the fired propellant charge,
- said closure element being designed to be opened by a build up of pressure during firing of the propellant charge and being designed to be held or positioned firmly after being opened.
A base unit having
- a cartridge chamber for accommodating a replaceable filling tank,
- a nozzle unit and
- a free nozzle entry space between the cartridge chamber and a nozzle of the nozzle unit.
Storage unit characterized by a three-piece design essentially comprising
- a filling tank holding an active defensive substance and
- a base unit enclosing the filling tank and
- a firing unit, wherein the filling tank is designed such that it can be replaced from the base unit.
