Abstract
A composition for lowering internal lipid in a subject which contains a capsinoid substance represented by the following formula wherein n is an integer from 0 to 10. Methods of using the compositions are disclosed and include administering to a subject in need of such treatment.

A method of lowering the internal lipid in a subject comprising administering a composition comprising at least one capsinoid compound selected from the group consisting of:

A method of reducing the hepatic fat in a subject comprising administering a composition comprising at least one capsinoid compound selected from the group consisting of:

A method of reducing the serum cholesterol in a subject comprising administering a composition comprising at least one capsinoid compound selected from the group consisting of:

A method of treating arthrosclerosis in a subject comprising administering to the subject the composition comprising at least one capsinoid compound selected from the group consisting of:
