Abstract
A medicament is provided containing as an active ingredient at least one of riboflavin, a riboflavin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof, which has the action of suppressing IL-1β, IL-6, IL-10, INF-γ, TNF-α, GM-CSF, IL-8, MCP-1 and other cytokines. Moreover, a preventative or therapeutic agent for inflammatory diseases accompanied by hypercytokinemia is provided which has excellent cytokine suppression effect.

A medicament having cytokine suppression effect, comprising as an active ingredient at least one of riboflavin, a riboflavin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
A medicament useful for preventing or treating systemic inflammatory response syndrome not caused by an infection, comprising as an active ingredient at least one of riboflavin, a riboflavin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
A use of at least one of riboflavin, a riboflavin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof for preparation of a preventative or a therapeutic agent for hypercytokinemia.
The use of at least one of riboflavin, a riboflavin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as a preventative or therapeutic agent for hypercytokinemia.
A cytokine suppressing agent, comprising as an active ingredient at least one of riboflavin, a riboflavin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for preventing or treating hypercytokinemia, comprising administering to a subject an effective dose of at least one of riboflavin, a riboflavin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof.
