Abstract
Provided may be a wind propelled rolling vehicle with a self-adjusting said that may be substantially formed in a relatively small, single sheet of material, or assembled onto a standard chassis. The exemplary embodiments may utilize bushings to spread dynamic loads so as to allow the use of very light structural material such as thin sheet foam thereby forming a safe, low-mass toy vehicle capable of achieving good acceleration and rolling speed relative to a given wind force, and configurable into many themes.
Claims35
A wind propelled rolling vehicle system, comprising:
- a sheet configured with a removable first shape, second shape and plurality of third shapes;
- an adaptor configured to removably couple said first shape to said second shape;
- an axle portion configured to couple to said second shape;
- and
- hubs configured to couple said third shapes to said axle portion;
- wherein said shapes are configured in one unitary sheet, and are configured to relatively easily couple together to form a 3-dimensional rolling toy.
A unitary sheet vehicle system, comprising:
- a first shape removably formed within said sheet;
- a second shape removably formed within said sheet;
- a third shape removably formed within said sheet,
- wherein said first shape couples to the top of said second shape, and
- wherein said third shapes couple to said second shape near opposite edges to form a 3-dimensional rolling vehicle.
A method of constructing a 3-dimensional rolling vehicle from generally 2-dimensional parts, comprising:
- providing a unitary sheet configured with a removable first shape, second shape and third shape;
- providing coupling components;
- and
- coupling said shapes together via said coupling components to form a 3-dimensional rolling vehicle.
A method of constructing a 3-dimensional rolling vehicle from generally 2-dimensional parts, comprising:
- providing a unitary sheet configured with a removable sail portion, body portion, and a plurality of wheel portions;
- coupling an axle portion to said body portion providing an adaptor and hubs;
- rotatably coupling said sail portion to said body portion via said adaptor;
- and
- coupling said wheels to said axle portion via said hubs thereby forming a 3-dimensional rolling vehicle.
A wind propelled rolling vehicle system, comprising:
- a sheet configured with a removable sail portion, body portion, and plurality of wheel portions;
- an adaptor configured to couple said sail portion to said body portion;
- an axle configured to couple to said body portion;
- and
- hubs configured to couple said wheel portions to said axle portion;
- wherein said portions are configured in one unitary sheet, and are configured to relatively easily couple together to form a 3-dimensional rolling toy.
A wind propelled rolling vehicle system, comprising:
- a body portion;
- a frame configured to removably couple to said body portion
- a sail portion configured to rotatably couple to said frame;
- an adaptor configured to couple said sail portion to said frame;
- one or more axle portions configured to selectively, positionally, couple to said frame portion;
- and
- one or more wheel portions configured to couple to said one or more axle portions.
A wind propelled rolling vehicle system, comprising:
- a unitary sheet configured with a removable sail portion, body portion, and plurality of wheel portions;
- an adaptor configured to couple said sail portion to said body portion;
- an axle means configured to couple to said body portion and to said wheel portions;
- and
- wherein said portions are formed in one unitary sheet, and are configured to relatively easily couple together to form a 3-dimensional rolling toy.
A wind propelled rolling vehicle system, comprising:
- a body portion;
- a frame configured to removably couple to said body portion a sail portion configured to rotatably couple to said frame;
- an adaptor configured to couple said sail portion to said frame;
- axle means configured to couple to said frame portion;
- and
- one or more wheel portions configured to couple to said one or more axle portions.
