Two-component silylated polyurethane adhesive, sealant, and coating compositions

A two-component adhesive, sealant, or coating composition comprising an alkoxysilane-functional urethane comprising the reaction product of

• a) the reaction product of a hydroxy functional compound and a polyisocyanate, the reaction product containing isocyanate functional groups;
• with
• b) a compound corresponding to formula I:
• wherein
• X represents identical or different groups selected from C1-C10 linear or branched alkyl groups and C1-C10 linear or branched alkoxy groups with the proviso that at least two occurrences of X are alkoxy and if one or two X groups are methoxy, at least one X group must be a C1-C10 linear or branched alkyl group,
• Y represents a C1-C8 linear or branched alkylene group,
• R2 and R5 are identical or different and represent organic groups which are inert to isocyanate groups at a temperature of 100° C. or less, and
• R3 and R4 are identical or different and represent hydrogen or organic groups which are inert towards isocyanate groups at a temperature f 100° C. or less,
• wherein the two-component composition comprises
• (i) a first component comprising a portion of the alkoxysilane-functional urethane and water;
• and
• (ii) a second component comprising the remaining portion of the alkoxysilane-functional urethane and a catalyst.
