Abstract
The present invention provides a safe and novel stabilizing agent for enzymes; a composition containing an enzyme and the stabilizing agent; and a kit containing the stabilizing agent composition. According to the invention, deactivation or inactivation of the activity of the enzyme during storage, drying, freezing, etc. can be prevented, without raising any problem of potential infection of an enzyme with a pathogen. For purposes of the invention, the stabilizing agent for an enzyme contains a plant-derived polypeptide as an active ingredient.

A stabilizing agent for an enzyme, the agent comprising a plant-derived polypeptide as an active ingredient.
An enzyme composition comprising one of a stabilizing agent having a plant-derived polypeptide as an active ingredient, and, a stabilizing composition including the stabilizing agent and at least one of an alkali or a buffer in association with an enzyme.
A method for stabilizing an enzyme, the method comprising the step of:
- associating a stabilizing agent with an enzyme wherein the stabilizing agent comprises a plant-derived polypeptide as an active ingredient.
A method for stabilizing an enzyme, the method comprising the step of:
- associating a stabilizing composition with an enzyme wherein the stabilizing composition comprises a plant-derived polypeptide as an active ingredient, and at least one of an alkali or a buffer.
